The Great Wall and More

Rainy and cold today, but we traveled on.

The Mascots of the Beijing Olympics.

The Nest

Our guide, Eric, and the Cube. We couldn't have asked for a better guide!

Kyra's photo of peach blossoms.

We went a couple of hours by van to a section of The Great Wall that Craig and I had never been to before.

Liam and Kyra were excited and fascinated and took off right away. Craig and I staggered behind, wishing we had trained for this! Although the fog blocked our view, it made for an amazing experience.

Kyra's photo of a break in the fog.

If you look straight ahead at the mountain, you can see the Great Wall. Kyra and Liam made it to the top.

Kyra and Liam still way ahead.

Here is the last steep climb. Craig and I waited at the bottom!

The enormity of the experience was lost on no one.

The Great Wall can be seen from space. What an experience to scale it in the fog! Jealous!!
