Making Progress!

I left Liam in his daddy's arms this evening to go run errands and Liam didn't cry!!!!  He just smiled, waved bye and blew me kisses!!!!   This is huge!!!!!!!    I'm so happy -- it tells me he's feeling more confident and secure.

Liam also slept through the night last night with no crying in his sleep.  Another great sign!

We  had Liam's Early Intervention Evaluation this morning.  I was a bit concerned about visual spatial skills and his funny little run.   Liam wowed the evaluators and me!  They said his funny little run is due to low muscle tone, but it's not low enough to qualify for services.  Liam didn't qualify for any services!!!  Yea!!!!!   They said he is a smart little boy and developmentally on target.  Music to my ears!  They can't offer services for language because he hasn't been here long enough.  They're not concerned because he's a little parrot and although they couldn't understand much of what he was saying - they want to give him time to become more comfortable with our language.

Kyra was a jewel during Liam's evaluation.  She helped the evaluators by modeling tasks for him and sat patiently while he worked on different tasks.  She was awesome!

And to top it all off - Liam asked to go in his crib at bedtime.  He played with his Fisher-Price aquarium and then lay down and fell asleep in his crib!

We LOVE progress!!!!

Sleeping through the night with no crying already?! Fabulous! Seven weeks? It only took us 3 years, ha ha! Sounds like wonderful news all around. He'll get his muscle tone up soon, I'm sure. WIth Kyra and Sophie, he's got some great examples!
